South African Charl Schwartzel shot a 7 under 64 to take share the lead with Australian Marcus Fraser in the Madrid Masters. Schwartzel, who almost withdrew from the tournament because of a shoulder injury, shot three birdies on the back nine and had an eagle on the fourth to put himself in front. Steven Jeppesen and Robedrt Rock are second place, two shots behind. While Carlos del Moral and three others share the third spot, a further shot behind.
